First workshop for the development of a cross-border action plan in Devoll

These days, the first workshop, out of four planned for the development of a cross-border action plan for the management of the online system and treatment plants of the municipalities of Resen and Devoll, was held in the premises of the Municipality of Devoll, Albania.

The workshop was attended by representatives from the municipalities of Resen and Devoll and the utility companies in these municipalities who, with the help of experts, analyzed the current state of the waters, the existing legislation in both countries and then determined the possibilities for further cross-border cooperation.

In the future, three more joint workshops of the teams from the municipalities of Resen and Devoll will be held, during which the cross-border action plan will be created, implemented and submitted to the relevant institutions in both countries.

This workshop was realized within the project "Prevention of risks for environmental sustainable practices for agro producers - PRESPA" as part of the cross-border cooperation programme between North Macedonia and Albania funded by the European Union, and is implemented by the Center for Civic initiative Prilep, Municipality of Resen, Organization for Management of Destinations Korča and Municipality of Devoll.
